Kathy,
I am no expert, I have no degree, and I don't even drink coffee any more.
But I can guarantee you, my hand on the Bible, that Chris has lies that are
triggered just because you open your mouth. Unless we sow your mouth shut,
there is no way to avoid these encounters. Some of it is just teen stuff
but some of it isn't. Conversely, you have lies buried deep, mostly due to
the fact you are older and have learned how to deal with them, which surface
when Chris triggers them by his actions. If Jesus wasn't around to help us
sort all this stuff out, we'd be in a world of trouble. I know for a fact
some areas which Chris has believed lies in. He needs to hear it from the
Lord, however, and not from me and not you and not anybody. He'll listen to
the Lord's voice but he rebels against adult authority because of the nature
of the lie itself and because he is a teenager and all teenagers think they
have to challenge everything an older person says. That part is normal.
The lies are not normal. That part that is normal he will grow out of as he
matures. The lies he will never grow out of.
Phil.
