Well Brian you seem to have deleted all information on the drive including
the Master Boot Record.
For future reference, you delete the partition (s), recreate it (them) and
then install your operating system. By doing the reverse, as one person
stated, you have a hard drive with no information on it. (raw)Deleting the
partition also deletes what is necessary for the computer to know what
hardware you have installed.
You will have to go back to the beginning and redo what you did but in
reverse.

Frank Suszka

Subject: [PCBUILD] formatting/partitioning a hard drive
I'm trying to reformat a hard drive and am having problems. I formated drive
C then proceded to delete the partition. then the computer said that it
needed to be restarted so I powered down and started back up. Now when it
starts up it just has a under score like this _ flashing in the upper left
hand corner and stays that way. The computer acts like it's trying to read
the A drive but nothing happens. So if you could please help me in any way I
thank you in advance.
