I'm going to upgrade my video card since I'm having editing issues with
pictures. I seem to run out of memory, but I've got 786 megs of RAM. The current
card is 16 megs (AGP). I'm looking at upgrading to 128 megs (or just 64?) since
they are so reasonable on Ebay. Here are some specs on my computer....
1 ghz AMD T-Bird
786 megs sdram
40 gig H.D.
Asus Motherboard A7V-133C
The research I've done (on a ATI/Radeon 9200 card 128 meg) says the main
requirement is the universal AGP slot which I do have. AGP or PCI??
According to the following link at Overclockers New Zealand..

"Processor: Supports AMD Athlon / Duron 550 MHz ~ 1.3GHz +266/200MHz FSB CPU
Chipset: VIA KT133A /VT82C686B
Memory: 3 x DIMM Socket to Support Max. 1.5GB PC133/VC133 non-ECC SDRAM
Expansion Slots: 1 x AGP Pro / AGP 4X 5 x PCI / 1 x AMR
IDE Ports: 2 x UltraDMA/100
Audio (Optional) AC ' 97 Compliant Codec
Back Panel I/O Ports:
2 x USB Ports
1 x Parallel Port (EPP, ECP), 2 x Serial Ports
1 x PS/2 Keyboard Port, 1 x PS/2 Mouse Port
Board Size: ATX Form Factor: 9.6" x 12.0" (24.5cm x 30.5cm)"
Apparently you have one AGP 4x slot and 5 PCI slots.
I don't think your RAM is an issue, but the 16mb available on your current
video card might.
Hope this helps.
