The problem with all metals used for fillings is that AFAIK none of them is a
perfect seal, so they provide a breeding place for microbes
which are believed to cause heart disease, maybe other diseases.
Also results in abcesses which is "treated" by root canal, resulting in much
worse infection.
And then if you have more than one metal filling or cap in your mouth there
shall be electrical currents which can cause other horrible problems.
Dentists are supposed to know about this, but they don't like to tell their
victims.
