Philip, I'm going to have to ask Sandy to hit you harder. Smile. When I
recommend professionals to help folks on the list I emphasize they should be
Christian professionals. I love you, brother, and I'm sure your ministry is
a great one and much needed. But when people are at a great distance from
you and have a history of severe psychological and psychiatric problems and
they have had peace from treatments they have received, that, too is from
GOD. To tell them that what they have received comfort from is wrong is to
pull the foundation out from under them. YES, GOD is able to heal them and
completely from any distance and without the help of anything and anyone
else. But it is irresponsible to take away the healing they have found or
to keep them from seeking the kind of help they need within their own area.
They need that support. Rather than setting up an "us" and "them" thing
where all psychologists and psychiatrists are evil and only the Bible and
prayer can heal problems of the mind and emotion, let's give them the
support of both and pray that when the professional advice they receive is
contradictory to the Word of GOD that they will find support locally with
another professional...a Christian one if at all possible...who does not do
so.

Paul
