Monitor comes in handy though usually I just use the default and if it
sounds good to everyone I leave it that way, but when I do adjust I just use
the monitor, get it where I think it sounds right, then ask people. I run
the W2IHY EQ on my 570 and when I first got that, the mic was overdriving
the unit, and the unit was over driving the radio, that took me a little
while to turn down the input of the EQ, output of the EQ, and the mic but it
sounds good now, I just went to a clear frequency on a dead band and played
for a couple minutes and got it dialed in in a matter of minutes.
