It's great for mobile, and with the control head being separate, you have a
tiny footprint at the operating position.  If you have a bit of vision, you
can place the head where you can see it best.  After using this radio, I
can't think of any advantage to having the controls mounted on the front of
the radio.  It does however take a bit of getting used to.
