Hi, all.

As some of you may remember, I have been using the N3FJP logging software
for contest logging. It actually works pretty well with Jaws 5.0 and
Windows XP, but I have one nagging problem that I haven't been able to
solve.

After I enter the information for my first QSO, Jaws continually starts
reading my log operating time second by second. This information appears in
the lower lefthand corner of the screen, well below the main logging entry
fields. If my XYL, who is sighted, uses the mouse to drag the main window
down so that the log operating time no longer shows, the problem disappears.
It's almost like she somehow shrinks the screen so the unneeded information
is no longer visible.

I'd like to be able to do this independently, if she is not available when
I'm in the middle of a contest.

Does anyone have any thoughts on a Jaws command or sequence of key strokes
that might address this problem?

I had thought of writing to Scott Davis (N3FJP) himself, but I really think
it's a Jaws issue that he wouldn't know how to resolve.

Thanks, and best 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ
