    Anthony:

I use an LDG AT11MP external auto-tuner with my Icom 718 which is my
portable H
F station. I understand the AT11MP is now no longer made, and has been
replaced by a somewhat cheaper model. I think it's called the Z100.

At any rate, if you go to the LDG Electronics web site, you willhave lots of
information to help you.

I think the url is www.ldgelectronics.com

Also, LDG does have a way to use an LM386 chip to get approximate audible
SWR indications. This is really handy, and the guy at LDG installed it for
me free of charge, since I told him I was blind and could benefit from it.

Hope this helps.
