Tomorrow I'm having a sighted friend purchase for me an mfj 150 watt auto
tuner for my Alfa delta dx b antenna. My match everywhere is a three to one
so needless to say, I don't want to operate that way. I'll write back and
let you know how I make out with this auto tuner. I have to pay my friend
about 380 dollars since he's purchased it for me this morning. This tuner is
for temporary use for now. If in the future I decide to run an amp on 80
meters for instants, I'll need another tuner that can handle the wattage.
Thus meaning I have to spend yet more money for the 500 watt tuner they sell
is about 625 dollars. I'm going to try just the hundred watts for now, if
I'm not getting out as right now, looks like I'll have to spend next year's
vacation money I saved--which I'm real hesitant to touch.

Subject: Automatic Tuners
Hello All, Ok I have been trying to follow the thread re the Automatic
tuners but some where along the way I got lost, Do these Automatic tuners
tune a random length of wire? Is there one of these that is best for a
total blind person to use? can they be fitted in the shack or must they be
away as far as Poss.?. Thanks for any help you can give me regarding these
questions.
