Hi all
Been reading the comparison between ts480 and ic-746 pro discussion
with interest.
Someone mentioned that the only kenwood in production better than the
ts480 is the ts-870. Interesting that a 10 year old design should be
better than their latest offering.
As an interesting point though, how much is accessibility worth? I
think that the ic-756 pro 3 would out perform any kenwood on the
market as would the ft1000 mark 5.
It seems to me that kenwood are heading towards the gymic end of the
market and while it is good for us from an accessibility stand, if
accessibility means us not having access to the top of the line
radios, that is not so good.
I wonder if kenwood will bring out anything again to compeat with the
big guns. After all, if I did not have to think accessibility, I
would not consider anything they are making at present so their
market share must be falling?
