Hi all,

Just wanted to post a quick update about my attempts to rejoin Handihams. I
had e-mailed Nancy last week including my application. She responded on
Monday! Speaking with her this morning, all has now been completed. I was
also able to order the MP3 CD copy of Now Your Talking so that I could help
Karen study for her license. Handihams does make their disability
verification process accessible. They will accept many forms of
verification either via FAX or snail mail. They will even accept a copy of
a mailing from an agency serving you as a person with a qualifying
disability! You can't get anymore accessible than this!

I am often writing about problems with accessibility issues inside and
outside the disability community. I also like to highlight positive
experiences. Doing this is even more important than discussing the
negatives. It was a pleasure speaking with Nancy at Handihams this morning.
She is most helpful. Thanks and 73 go to Nancy!
