It worked for me after an overnight stay in the freezer, 12 hours, was able
to get most of the stuff off of it before it locked again. I have it in the
freezer now again to try for more data recovery later. I was only able to
run it for about 5-6 minutes before it locked the system up again. Mark

How long do you have to wait after taking it from the freezer before
reinstalling it?
Thanks

Yes Mark;
I have used this trick many times.
just put the hdrive in an antistatic bag and place in the freezer
for a couple of hours or more.
Doesn't always work, but worth a try:-)
Hooking the drive up as a slave on another system is the
best way to go. If the drive is formated NTFS you will need a system
with XP or Win2K to read it.
