HI,

Depending on how secure he wants the erase to be!

You can format the partition(s).
You can fisk the drive, to delete the partions.
You can get a program to write zero's to it.

But, if he was a CIA or KBG agent, and doesn't want anyone to reveive
anything from it ever:
Remove from machine and take a sledge hammer to it until it is in
little, itsy, bitsy, pieces.
Then scatter the pieces in a multitude of locations.

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Joe Lore
=============================

My brother would like me to erase any data on his Aptiva, which he plans
to donate.

Are there any special considerations with this machine? It's physically
different from the boxes I've just begun delving into.

thanks,
Diane
