John check your Temporary Internet Files From the browser in Tools>Internet Options.
This section is located under the General Tab. Click the Delete Button. If it takes forever and a day
for the hour glass to go away your Temp Internet File cache size to way to big. Once this completes
click Settings. Under Temporary Internet files folder for the Amount of disk space to use type in 25 MB (this
is more than enough to hold pages and images) The sliding bar uses a % of known disk space so I recommend
manually clicking the number in MB to the right of that and typing in 25MB--Anything greater than that and the browser
will spend more time searching the cache for the webpage your trying to pull down...esp if the cache is set for a size in the
100's and 1000's a MB's.

I have a Dell computer, using Windows 2000, connected to DSL. The
problem is: While using the internet for surfing the web, the computer
suddenly downloads web pages at an extremely slow speed. I have gone to
Task Manager and found the CPU meter showing 60% to 100% in use,
however, nothing new is running. Recently a screen has been popping up
stating "physical memory dump". Any ideas on what could be using up all
of the CPU? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
