Pat,
My heart really goes out to you with all that you've lost. When my
computer caught a virus a few years ago, I lost everything: four years
of journeling, a junior church curriculum that I had been tediously
working on, all my creativity and work for over four years was just gone.
the worst ppart was not being able to contact echurch to ask for prayer
and comfort. I really went through a greaving process. Then the Lord
reminded me of the author of the words to the hymn, "Take My Life and Let
It be." I know that I won't spell her name right, but I'll give it a go
anyway, Francis Ridley Havergaul. Anyway, the words to that hymn were
originally in a collection of poems that she had sent to a publisher.
While her book was in the process of being produced the publisher
experienced a major fire and all of her original work was gone. She was
crushed, but eventually handed the loss over to God, sat down and tried
to reconstruct what she could. Obviously, at least with that one poem,
she was successful and it means more to me knowing that she lived it. I
hope that you will find the same encouragement to move on from this story
as I did. I know that you miss what you had, but God does have a way of
restoring what the locusts have eaten.
God bless,
Kathy
