Hi all

My "Guide through the medicine cabinet: cliac sprue" drug book says that Bendryl elixir AF is gluten-free and that it is a prescription. My pharmacist states that that specific drug has not been a prescription for many years. He gave me over-the-counter Children's Benadryl Allergy in it's place. Is this gf? I e-mailed the company and they will get back to me within 3 days. My screaming toddler seems to think three days is too long to wait. My son had his first accidental gluten ingestion in August. It took 4 weeks for him to get back to himself. If there are any doubts I will not be giving it to him. One archive entry mentions giving a child benadryl but it doesn't say what kind (allergy, cold/flu or tablet, elixer). Any help would be much appreciated. Pardon the typing, my son is "helping".
