my 3 yo daughter diagnosed with CD 6 months ago is doing fine on her GF
diet. For her well child visit this past week they recommended a booster
MMR (measles, mumps, rubella),and an H. Flu vaccine. Does anyone know
if these vaccines are GF or if we need to worry if they are GF?
Also,does anyone have any information on vaccinations and CD in general;
ie, should we avoid the ones that are optional such as the H. Flu? I
think it is required to have immunity to MMR to be able to go to school.
The pediatrician gave me an option to have her blood drawn to see if she
is immune (the first dose of MMR is given at 18 months) from her first
dose and avoid the vaccine. I don't know which is worse, to get a
possibly unneeded vaccine in the face of CD or to subject a 3yo to
another blood draw??? thank you Beth in Washington,DC
