She went to an orthopedist today.  He took several x-rays, of course, and
confirmed that it was arthritis behind the knee cap.  So he gave her a shot
to help the pain which, he said, she could come back for every six weeks if
she needed it that often.  Eventually, he said, she was looking at a total
knee replacement.
