Tom,

You can just press the Enter key to get into Forms mode.  That will work
with any computer running Jaws as far back as version 3.5, and maybe even
further back than that.  You can probably find more information about
getting out of Forms mode on a laptop by consulting Jaws Help for Internet
Explorer.
