Hi Anthony.
Do other serial devices work from these COM ports? Perhaps the port you
are trying to use has been shut off from the BIOS. Also, have you tried
setting the AutoAssign to 0? I think this command is issued from the
SYSTEM.INI file, although it's been awhile since I've had to play games
with Windows and serial ports. I used to have to do that once in a while
when a machine got persnickety with a DEC Express.
