Thanks again Tom for that tip as had downloaded and saved the wrong manual
that was quoting from hi.

But, since have you here do you have a simple or quick tip or
suggestions--idea on how to count the menu steps on the tm-g707a as am
trying to change some menu options and can't seem to count correctly to get
to the one that want.

I know the manual that have and have read--checked says that menu 24 and 25
isn't used and menu 26 is for the European models. So does that then mean
there are only 35 actual menu choices instead of 38? What menu choice does
the rig start with when hear the low tone beep?

Tnx cul 73

You can scan two frequencies at once. You set one frequency either on the
2m or
70cm band and set another as the call frequency you want to use. Actually,
if
you've got the bands opened up it can be anywhere from 111.00-176, 300-523,
or
800-999.995 mHz. That's really the only kind of dual scanning option you've
got. If you go in to the call and hold the call button until it beeps a
second
time it will swap between scanning that and your bfo frequency.
