Do these machines have video hardware on the motherboard, or add-on
graphics cards?

David,
All mobos have on board graphics. I suspect my unreliable dial-up may be
responsible for faulty downloads which I am transfering to cd-r via Easy CD
Creator. I will try downloading again from my brothers high speed to see if this
solves the problem.
