I purchased and use "Kworld VS-LTV883D Xpert DVD Maker PCI". The software
comes with it and costs about $35. You can load the vhs onto the computer,
edit it, and then burn to DVD. Also, you can burn directly from vhs to DVD
(set software at lowest speed for best results). Since the fastest the DVD
can be directly burned is the speed at which the vhs plays, trying to speed
up the burning only deteriorates the quality.
I purchased at Newegg but I notice that Directron also carries it. There are
probably other retailers.
This has been a discussion item before and you might want to research the
archives. There were other methods of vhs to DVD conversion discussed.
