Hi,

At $6-8 wholesale it is best to just get a new one, or for $2-3 a good used
one form a local dealer.
There really is no adjustments to be made. The defective disk probably
ruined the head on the arm.

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Joe Lore

I have a 3/12 floppy A: drive that was damaged when I inserted a defective
diskette in. It stared making a grinding sound. It was working fine until
then. Now it will not read any files or even format the diskette. Will it
have to replaced, or can it be repaired.
What part could be causing the trouble. Is there any adjustment that can be
made
