Hello Butch and others who continue to help me with my selection of a new
handheld. I have, yet, another question or two.

Looking through the TS2000 manual, I read about remote control of this
tranceiver with an appropriate handheld. First, to what extent can one use
the TS2000 main station tranceiver to act as a repeater for activating other
repeaters. That is, am I able to use a handheld to transmit a message to my
base station, then have this message echoed to a repeater's input frequency.
I assume this to be the case although Kenwood's manual, turse as usual, is
not altogether forthcoming on what one is able to do remotely.

Second, although they seem to prefer the TH7A or AG for this purpose, can
one, as implied, use another handheld such as the TH-F6a to accomplish the
same thing by entering dtmf codes from the handheld's key pad?

Finally, if anyone cares to address this issue, what features, aside from
sky command, does the 7A have over the seemingly more accessable 6A?

Thanks much to anyone who has a few moments to comment.

Jerry
