Charlotte posted the message below. I am a celiac and work at Stanford
University and also volunteer to help raise funds for the Celiac Sprue
Research Foundation located here in Palo Alto, California. I have to admit
I am a lousy fundraiser and am doing a very poor job of it. In the
progress report from the Foundation, there is a small note that states a
funding source had not been identified for further studies of the
enzyme. It is true. Funding is runny really low and the Foundation needs
to raise $75,000 soon to continue their work. All money donated is tax
deductible and goes directly to research expenses. There is no overhead,
no paid staff doing fundraising, not even money spent to make fancy
brochures or on a real webmaster. All the money that goes to the
Foundation is spent on chemicals, salary for scientists, lab space
rent..... There is one excellent young researcher whose salary is not
funded, but his position will be named after the donor if one steps
forward. Please consider donating either via PayPal on their website at
www.celiacsprue.org or sending a check to Celiac Sprue
Research Foundation, P.O. Box 61193, Palo Alto, CA, USA 94306-1193,
Tel/Fax

. Chaitan Khosla, Ph.D. is president of the Foundation, he is a brilliant
researcher and his son and wife are both celiacs. If you call him or send
an e-mail he will surely return your call to discuss their progress and
need for funding.
Thanks for your time,

Subject: notes on enzyme treatment research for CD

It's pretty technical. The following excellent pdf file at Stanford =
explains this and the rest of the research programme very clearly:=20
