Has anyone, during the diagnosis process for CD, been severely anemic, and
had an iron infusion, with no resulting change in their iron levels? My
wife is going through numerous tests and CD is thought to be the prime
suspect. She will have the EGD this week to confirm. She was originally
found to be severely anemic and an iron infusion was done. Three weeks
later her blood was tested and the iron levels were still just as low,
greatly puzzling the hematologist.

Thanks for any information!
