yes it has multifunction buttons.  I think that is my problem I can't figure
out what is doing what.
I don't even remember the keypad I forgot some of them.  and I haven't
memorized the second functions yet.

To switch banks, you should just hit the bank number to turn the bank on and
of, if it has multi function buttons,  let me know exactly what the problem
is if you can't get help, maybe it's like my pro-2052, it has multi function
buttons but after practice it's very easy to use. It works very much like
the uniden scanners, in fact I think it's made by uniden.
