My favourite is mashed veg (currently parsnips, carrots and
cauliflower) mixed with a decent chunk of beef or pork dripping. The
alternative is fruit, but I don't like over-eating on fruit and try
to avoid having a lot except in summer.
But I'd avoid porridge at all costs!
