**Overeating fat and protein will make you fat.**
You are not entirely correct although overeating to you may mean
something different then it does to me.
Following the bodyopus diet that consists of 70% fat and 30% protein
will not only burn fat at an alarming rate, but you will build lots of
new muscle tissue as well.
The other part of the diet is not Paleo, but you can use any food to
your advantage if you know how the body works.
This diet is for getting into single digit % of body fat, so to most of
you my response maybe useless. Sorry.
