Hi John,

Yes I am familiar with the total wellbeing diet being promoted by the CSIRO.
But Victorian health minister Bronwyn Pike made a public statement warning
against the dangers of Atkins and low carb 'fad' diets. It was on 9 news, 7
news and the current affairs programs (it will be on their transcripts).

Members from a local list reported hearing about it on the radio.
ABC's Radio programme "The World Today"
Here's the link to check: http://www.abc.net.au/worldtoday/

Another member of the list heard The federal president of the AMA issue a
warning. He rang the Victorian branch to protest and was told it was a
federal statement. Their number 02 62705400

Hi Leonie,

I'd be interested in reading about the Australian public health warning you
mention since I haven't seen any info in the press about it. I am
interested because I can't see how they can justify their position when the
CSIRO have come out supporting low-carb eating.
