The original message about the grocery store included:

Not only do they not have to build such a large store, they are making no
design efforts to retain the current pedestrian-friendly urban environment.>
Some of the supermarkets in the "outer boroughs" of NYC - that means, outside
Manhattan - have parking garages under the stores (with elevators), so the
customers actually park more conveniently than suburban customers, and on
rainy days they don't get wet.
