What a bummer!

I am wondering if you'll have to do a full re-set of the radio, completely
back to the factory defaults.

If you do this, of course, you'll loose all of your memories, but that may
be the price you'll have to pay to get things completely back to normal.

One question:  I assume you're using the supplied wall charger to charge the
battery?
