I don't know what your financial limits are, but if you are thinking of a
vertical, I have had a lot of luck with the Cushcraft R7. I know there are
newer ones out, but the basic antenna design is the same.
If you want something more portable, try the buddipole. You can check it
out at www.buddipole.com
I know this advice is very general, but I hope it's at least a start.
