Tom,

If you don't have the programming software, just select memory 0 with the
tuning knob.  Then go back to the VFO and press Function.  Then turn the
tuning knob counter-clockwise one click and you'll be ready to write to
Information memory 9.  Two clicks will bring you to 8, and so on.  Once you
get past the information memories, you'll be in the priority channels and
the upper/lower scan limit memories.  Of course, all this is much easier to
do if you've got the software because the Information memories show up at
the bottom of the list of memory channels.
