Thanks for the thoughts here.

Will try cleaning the contacts, and checking out the springs as you suggest.

Just for the record, the rig was purchased in 1997, so it is about 7 years
old now.  This is the only problem I have had with the rig for all these
years, so I guess I can't complain.

Will be interested to see what others have to say.
