regarding the recent Short summary on test results, and a little venting

The desire to forgo testing can be appealing and saving money seems a
short term benefit.  However, if it is celiac the increased expenses of
the celiac diet are then to be considered.  If it is not really celiac
that would be a lot of wasted time, energy, and money staying fully
gluten free, as well as the costs of follow up lab testing that is
needed for follow up for celiac disease.

Shopping around on the testing could make sense.  A lot of docs now do
office endoscopy.  Calling around to the local GI's and offering 1.3
times medicare cash up front might get you in for a LOT less than the
"list" price.  Careful to get a discount on the Pathologist up front,
too.
