Hello to this very helpful group. I have learned so much from all of
you and am truly grateful. I'm hoping for some insight on a new issue
for me. Recently, I found out that I had inadvertently ingested gluten,
in the form of Slim Fast, for two wks. ( I had read that it was gluten
free but neglected to check with the manufacturer....my fault) During
that time, which was 2 months ago now, I experienced an acute onset of
pain and inflammation in my right knee and both elbows. This has gotten
increasingly painful and debilitating. My doctor says that is a setback
from the gluten ingestion. Has anyone else experienced this type of
reaction. I am considering taking glucosamine chondroitin/msm but do
not know a safe brand to take. Any help would be appreciated. On
another note, I read here that Wal Mart's Equate version of Slim Fast is
GF. Has anyone confirmed this? I will summarize for those who are
interested.
Thanks so much,
Deb in NJ
