Pat,
It is great when we know that we know that we know a particular direction,
an it is even greater when we step out in faith in a time when we feel a
certain way is right, and later we see in fact it was God's will and voice
instructing us. I like the latter because it is in those times when I
learn to hear God's voice even more. Imagine if our mother's father's or
spouse or whoever, never talked? How would we recognize them among any
other voice? We begin to recognize God's voice all the more when we hear
a direction and later find it is so, as well as the times we think we hear
his voice and find out it perhaps wasn't. It is in these times of learning
we become more familiar with God's voice.
