Matt,
In Ephesians 4:26, we are told to be angry, but do not sin and do not let
the sun go down on our anger. There is a difference between being angry
and sinning. Righteous anger is acceptable, it's what we do with that
anger that may be sinful. Anger is simply an emotion. God Himself gets
angry. We often see anger as a sin because we have been raised in a
politically correct society in which tolerance is the vertue to be held
above all else. If a person gets angry, it may mean that we are being
intolerent and thus, in our politically correct society, anger is a sin.
However, God is not politically correct. He is intolerent, especially
of sin. The money changers in the temple were sinning by stealing the
money of the poor and being self righteous in the face of it. If only we
were as brave as Jesus.
Kathy
