I heard about a month ago that Dino (hey babe) Nefarus died suddenly of a
heart attack. I remember him taking the family car out every Saturday to
keep it in shape and sometimes driving Moma Neferus down town to the post
office or someplace. An immaculate woody stationwagon of what brand I
forget. Dino was a good man and a good friend.
We just had 10 incredibly bright, polite and full of energy Argentineans
here to dinner. I put on a samba CD which they listened to politely, then
Simon found they really enjoyed 50cent. They all were happy to send a few
moments with the horses, as they all grew up on farms. One buried his nose
in the horses mane to collect the perfume another cried when we took out a
map of Argentina.
Speaking of shows- did anyone catch Lonesome Highway - that was what
stage is all about
