Yesterday I made an apple sauce cake for my daughter-in-law's birthday. I
wanted to make a cream cheese glaze type frosting to pour over the ring
cake. I creamed 4 ounces of cream cheese, 1/2 cube softened butter with a
teaspoon of vanilla & added C&H powdered sugar to taste, but it was too
thick to pour so I whipped in a little whipping cream one teaspoon at a time
to thin it out & make it pourable. To my surprize, instead of getting
pourable, it ended up fluffy & light. I didn't have time to mess with it,
so I frosted the ring cake. It was pretty odd looking, but it was
delicious. In fact, my dauthter-in-law's mother asked me for the recipe &
asked if I could make one for her birthday! What a funny surprize! Valerie
