I received this post today. I am passing it on. I do know that D'Adamo
who wrote the blood type books said that people with blood type O should
not take vitamin E because it thins the blood. I have been taking 200
IU of Vit E oil d alpha for a few weeks plus the 200 IU in my multiple
vitamin ( I take 3 capsules of multi instead of six for the 400 IU of
E). This morning my nose was bloody? And I have noticed that my gums
are starting to bleed some when I brush my teeth. I have a family
history of blood clots, but I was tested at the Mayo Clinic and I do not
have any unusual clotting factors. I will stop the E for now. This
raises the question how to you take a multiple vitamin? All multiple
vitamins have 400 IU of vitamin E. I didn't get any indications that
the dry Vitamin E in the multiple was causing my blood to thin.

Besides the obvious problem of wheat based Vit E, there is
another problem.....it thins the blood. It thinned mine so
much that I bled behind the retina and almost went blind.
Be very careful in the amt that you take and get checked by
md!
