They are pretty sensitive to water balance in your body, so if you use them
once to get a reading, it may be somewhat off, depending on when you

The directions say to weigh after dinner.

But if you use them regularly, while losing/gaining weight, you can get
a pretty good
idea of how your body composition is changing.  For this you would need to
weigh at the same time of day and keep everything as consistent as possible.
