Speaking of "girth" did you hear the commentary on NPR discussing the extensive use of the word "girthy" in a hotdog ad that's playing now on TV?  The commentator was saying that the word is most often used in porn and suggested their was something salacious going on.  It brought back memories of a friend who used to do dramatic readings of the Penthouse "letters to the editor"...

Next thing you know they'll be trying to sell bananas by making reference to their "curvature" (another popular word in the letters, as I recall).
