Its not the processor that determins how big of a drive you can have its the
motherboard but almost all drives come with software that will allow you to
install the new drive.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Upgrading Hard Drives
Please help/
I am running an AMD K6-2 500MHZ processor. I have an 8GB hard drive IDE
type, and want to upgrade to a 40GB at least. Can I do this with this
processor? IF not, then what processor should I upgrade to?
Thanks
