Pretty much, yes. It is a legume, which most paleo eaters avoid. It is
somewhat poisonous raw, you wouldn't want to eat more than a handful.
It wouldn't kill you but might make you sick.

I do eat some soy, hard to avoid here in Japan. Usually tofu (yuck) or
boiled green soybeans.
