I have been following this thread with interest. I am glad that some of you
have the time to check all the links and read the articles. I just keep
learning a lot.
While CR might be just one of the variables that contribute to a long life
I don't think I want to experiment with my body to find out. Since
discovering paleo last Halloween (I was 230 pounds at 6'1") I have been
able to stop worrying about eating for a change.
I am glad that now I eat and feel completely satisfied and I do not have to
worry about my weight (I am now at 192 pounds). It is so freeing for me not
to have meals be a constant source of anxiety and tension. I eat better now
and have not had a problem feeding myself even while out. The last thing I
want to do is restrict my food and feel unnecessary hunger to "possibly"
add some years to my life. I don't think H-G would go without food on
purpose. They did it because they had no choice.
