On Jan. 2nd I had my basal metabolism measured in a hospital setting with a
MedGem, a little gizmo that you breathe through for several minutes and
which calculates the basal metabolism, IIRC, by the oxygen/carbon dioxide
exchange.

The weird thing was that later that day when I calculated using the
Harris-Benedict equation, the difference was only something like 4 pts.
